Learning to Sit Up! My Big Girl!

My baby girl is learning to sit up! She is by far the cutest little peanut I have ever seen!

SOLIDS!

Last week my baby girl started on some rice cereal. She had started waking up again in the middle of the night and it was clear that her milk was not doing the trick. We put a tablespoon of rice cereal in her bottle and she loved it! Where is my little baby going?

Roll over on Video!!

So I was finally able to get Maddie rolling over on Video! Yes, of course I coached her... she needed coaching! She loves her little cheerleader.... aka.. mommy!

I was also able to get her gigging on video! She always loves to laugh at her daddy....

Last, but certainly not least!.... Maddie took her first swing ride without Mommy and Daddy swinging with her. I wasn't feeling too great, since we both came down with a cold after our Easter trip, so I was stumbling upon my words trying to video all the excitement!

This week we also went to Maddie's friends house...Mateo. Mateo is the little boy who shares a nanny with Maddie and he is 6 months old. Mateo was having a party to celebrate his dedication to god, so we went to the party and had a great time (except Maddie who slept through the entire thing)!

I cannot believe this little girl is going to be 4 months on Saturday. She is really starting to get such a personality. She is absolutely an amazing sleeper. She started sleeping through the night at 3 months and I thought that maybe it would only last a few nights... but boy was I wrong! She knows her bedtime is 10 pm and around 9:30 she starts gearing herself up with some yawns and eye rubbing. We rock her to sleep for a few minutes and she is good to go....all the way until I have to wake her up at 7am! Funny... sometimes she has her mom's personality when she wakes up and she seriously looks mad at the world that she has to get up so early! Other times, I go in to wake her up and she is just laying there smiling - similar to how her dad wakes up. Such a sweet girl, I just love her to pieces.

First..... Plane ride, boat ride, and Easter!

Maddie had such a great time in the heat, and I’m pretty sure this baby is ready to learn more about her Texas history! She was such an Angel on the plane. We got so many compliments for what a well behaved baby we had and thanks to Southwest for the certificate!

She started off with a trip to the golf course with her nanny. Of course this little lady was treated nothing less than that of a princess…. At the grill and swimming pool, she made her Houston Oaks debut.

Now it was time for Maddie’s first boat ride. Being that our family loves the water, Maddie doesn’t stand a chance… she will be a water sport junkie for sure!  (As long as we get out of this cold SF weather asap!)… She loved the boat and loved looking out at the water. This mom was little nervous with her too close to the edge…..but she was in good hands. Of course in true Lewis style, we picked up friends along the boat ride during our time on the lake. Maddie just loved all the attention from the ladies…

After Maddie got to attend her cousinTyler's baseball game... Easter was finally here. Maddie was so excited to meet her Aunts, Uncles, cousins, great grandmothers, and family friends. She felt a little overwhelmed and was fussy at times, but mom was there to let her know everything was going to be ok. She was asleep for most of the hunt, but not to worry…. Mom and dad made sure that Maddie got all the eggs she needed! The only incident…. Maddie pooped on her Easter outfit!!!!

Maddie learns how to squeal... and she loves it!

At 14 weeks... Maddie has learned how to squeal... and we can't get this girl to stop! If you thought you wanted a bird.... why? Just ask Maddie to come over!

Rolls over at 13 weeks!

Maddie's latest developments.....

Well she finally loves laying on her back and loves her little activity mat that she lays on... it's a hit.

She also loves her other acitivity bouncer.... .although sometimes she gets a little bored of it still.... I wish I could fall asleep anywhere like this girl!

But the biggest and latest news at this stage.... this girl can roll over!! From her stomach to her back! Of course she is a little camera shy... everytime I try to get a picture, she will not do it for me! Would you expect anything less from this diva? :).

Maddie's St. Patricks Day

Maddie’s first St. Patricks Day consisted of… well nothing but wearing her St. Patricks day clothes of course! Maddie has to wait 20 more years for green beer…..
